DESCRIPTION:Councilmembers Joe Buscaino (CD 15) and Curren Price (CD 9) have put forward a new Street Vending Proposal to be considered in a hearing at City Hall December 12\, 1pm: \n\nStreet vending will be allowed City-wide from 7a.m. to 9 p.m.\nVending will be prohibited in residential neighborhoods with the exception of roaming pushcart vendors.\n2 vendors per block in commercial areas with the consent of the adjacent business or property owner and other protections.\nAbility of neighborhoods to opt-out with some limitations.\nEnforcement by LAPD and Bureau of Engineering is discussed but specifics have not yet been provided.\nA review of this policy within one year.\n\n \nLA Times Article on Street Vending Proposal \n

DESCRIPTION:The City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering invites you to attend the first in a series of community meetings to discuss the LA River Valley Bikeway and Greenway Design Completion Project. During this meeting\, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the project and provide input on preliminary design concepts. \nThe LA River Valley Bikeway and Greenway Design Completion project\, currently in the pre-design phase\, involves designing and constructing approximately 12.5 miles of new bike path and greenway facilities along the Los Angeles River that will complement and connect to projects that have already been built or are underway. The project area encompasses San Fernando Valley from Vanalden Avenue to Forest Lawn Drive/Zoo Drive. \nMeeting content and format will be identical\, so feel free to attend the meeting which best accommodates your schedule.
