The training is held virtually 8:30am-2:30pm via ZOOM. \nWe have tailored trainings for you to choose from:\n-Adult Mental Health First Aid\n-Youth Mental Health First Aid (for any adult working with youth ages 12-18)\n-Mental Health First Aid for Older Adults \nTeaches you how to Identify\, understand\, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. \nWhat It Covers: \n\nCommon signs and symptoms of mental Illness and substance use\nDepression\, anxiety\, and psychosis\nHow to interact with a person in crisis\nHow to connect the person with help\nHow to apply the 5-step action plan in a variety of situations\nUpdated content on trauma\, addiction\, and self-care\n\nAs a requirement people need to have access to a laptop or computer and reliable Wi-Fi connection. In addition\, the participant will need to register via a phone call to our call center (818)847-3860 or email: communityhealthteamsfv@providence.org\, create a mental health first aid account\, and complete a self-paced 2-hour pre-course work prior to the start of the training.
