On January 10\, Multiple fast-moving blazes ignited and evacuation orders surged in the San Fernando Valley as flames set fire to ridgelines and threatened Valley lives\, homes\, and businesses. As the fires neared the heart of our Valley\, threatening the vital intersection of the 101 and 405 freeways\, our firefighters sprang into action with unmatched courage. Six LAFD helicopters worked tirelessly through the night\, drawing water from the Encino Reservoir to battle the flames. Their bravery\, precision\, and relentless efforts turned the tide\, safeguarding lives\, businesses\, homes\, and essential infrastructure\, including the major transportation corridors.
