NoHo West Installs New Members

At our July 9 Meeting we welcomed new members Jennifer Rozo and Tim Glick. We also elected our Executive Committee, approved a budget, appointed committee chairs and are excited to work with you for NoHo West. Join us at our next meeting on August 13.

Saticoy Swept Clean!

NoHo West Neighborhood Council and the community are excited and grateful to Councilmember Nazarian and the City clean up crews for their tremendous work cleaning up the homeless encampments on Saticoy near the 170 and Bellaire on May 14, 2025.

NoHo West Neighborhood Council is excited to announce that refreshing the paint on the Whitsett Slope Mural has begun. The team from Muralism is working on making the colors on this beautiful mural vibrant once again.

LA Animal Services will offer reduced adoption fees every weekend in April to help the pets in our six Centers to find loving homes. To encourage animal lovers to adopt, LA Animal Services invites you to meet your new canine buddy or feline friend at one of our special adoption weekend events.

Reduced Adoption Fees:

  April 18-19: Adopt Love Adoption Event (graphic attached)
 April 25-26: National Adopt a Shelter Pet Adoption Weekend

Reduced adoption fees for dogs, $51 (that does not include $20 license fee for LA City residents); puppies, $75, cats, $12.50; and kittens, $25.

Furry friends adopted from LA Animal Services join their new families already spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adopters also receive a Petco flyer with discounts to help make their pet adoption a success and a VCA Healthy Start Certificate, which provides up to $250 of follow up veterinary care within the first 14 days of adoption. In addition, dogs are also eligible for free dog training classes with Paws for Life K9 Rescue at their People & Pet Innovation Center in Mission Hills, CA. It's Kitten Season. Be a Hero to a Baby Kitten Today

Kitten Season is the time of year when an enormous influx of kittens enter animal shelters, typically occurring in the Spring and lasting throughout Summer. LA Animal Services needs the community's help to manage the increased intake of kittens during these very busy months.
