During the meetings\, Angelenos will have the opportunity to provide input on the project’s options and design concepts. \nLA River Valley Greenway Community Meeting\nTuesday\, October 17\, 6 pm to 7:30 pm\nValley Plaza Branch Library\n12311 Vanowen Street\nNorth Hollywood\, CA 91605 \nThe LA River Valley Greenway project will provide nearly 13 miles of new bike and walking paths along the LA River in the San Fernando Valley to complement and connect already existing paths. The city provided three million dollars to the project through park funds from Councilmembers Krekorian\, Blumenfield\, Ryu and Martinez. These funds will help complete the project’s design and allow it to be shovel-ready for a contiguous bikeway and walkway along the river. \nThe project area encompasses San Fernando Valley from Vanalden Avenue to Forest Lawn Drive/Zoo Drive.

DESCRIPTION:Public Meeting: LADWP \nNotice of Public Documents\, Comment Period and Public Meeting \nThe Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) is proposing a water treatment project alternative to remove contamination from wells in the San Fernando Valley groundwater basin\, North Hollywood West Well Field\, affected by a contaminant known as 1\,4-dioxane. LADWP has prepared a Public Notice of a Proposed Plan\, Remedial Investigation and Feasibility Study and related documents for an interim remedial action for the North Hollywood West Well Field project\, prepared pursuant to the Comprehensive Environmental Response\, Compensation\, and Liability Act of 1980 (CERCLA). LADWP also has prepared a Notice of Intent to Adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration of the project prepared under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). \nLADWP will conduct a public meeting to describe the project\, and accept public comments during the dates for the Public Comment Period listed below. \nPublic Comment Period \nDecember 7\, 2016 to January 23\, 2017 \nMeeting: \nJanuary 4\, 2017\, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. \nValley Plaza Library \n12311 Vanowen Street\, North Hollywood\, CA \nAll environmental and required documents for the project\, locations where they are publicly available\, and details of how to submit public comments are posted at www.ladwp.com/envnotices.
