Play Streets is a program that enables Angelenos to temporarily close down their streets to cars and transform them into places for play, learning, and fun for all ages! Neighbors apply to close one block of a neighborhood street to temporarily transform into a public playground. The Play Streets Program will bring a collection of objects to ignite play on your street.
Individual residents, groups of residents, and non-profit organizations may apply by March 24. This is free to residents and aimed at park-poor neighborhoods.
