Assemblymember Nazarian invites you to attend a Renter’s Rights Workshop with the Coalition for Economic Survival (CES) to educate tenants on their rights now that the state’s eviction protections are ending and the LA City’s protections will be continuing on into 2022.
CES will also educate tenants and landlords on:
Allowable Rent Increases
Los Angeles Rent Stabilization Ordinance
How to file a complaint with the LA Housing Department
Protection When Your Apartment Building is Foreclosed
LA City Rent Control
California’s Department of Housing and Community Development will also offer information about the state Emergency Rental Assistance Program and go over some frequently asked questions. Topics include eligibility and applying for the state rental assistance program, and utilities. Any Angeleno interested in learning more about the rights of renters is invited to attend this workshop.
There will be another workshop to apply to California’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program in a few weeks so stay tuned for more!
