The Paula Kent Meehan Pet Care Foundation will sponsor the Sheps, Pits, and Kits adoption event happening at our six LA Animal Services Centers on Saturday, September 18 and Sunday, September 19. During the Sheps, Pits, and Kits adoption event, the adoption fees for all shepherd and pitty-resembling dogs will be reduced by $50, which does not include the $20 license fee. Adoption fees for cats will be waived by the Paula Kent Meehan Pet Care Foundation and adoption fees for kittens will be waived through a generous grant from the ASPCA. “There are hundreds of wonderful pets in the shelters ready to meet you,” said Bill Crowe, Executive Director of The Pet Care Foundation. “This weekend’s adoption event provides people with the opportunity to adopt shepherd-type dogs, pit bull terriers, cats, and kittens, who are just waiting to be a part of your family.”
“When you adopt a pet from our Centers, you’re opening your heart and home to a wonderful animal companion who’s licensed, microchipped, and vaccinated,” said Dana Brown, General Manager of LA Animal Services. “You’re also making life saving space for sick or injured animals who make their way into our Centers and have nowhere else to go.”
