LWV Watch Party October 8, 2025, 4:00pm PT
Join our (free) LWV zoom watch party for The Officials(released by Time Magazine), a 26- minute documentary short on the challenges election officials encounter on Wednesday the 8th at 4-5PM PT. The screening and panel discussion is open to League members and the public. Share with your friends and colleagues.
We’re watching the film together(with the directors of the film), then Adam Ambrogi will moderate a panel with New Mexico Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver, our own Jeanette Senecal Chief of Civic Learning & Impact, and featured local election officials from the film, Tonya Wichman(OH), Janice Winfrey(MI), and Daniel Baxter(MI).
With the League taking over management of Election Hero Day, our awareness and support of election officials is so important. The film contains local election officials who are bipartisan, and the framework is nonpartisan (although it may show some ideological threats around election officials, based on mis and disinformation).
Following the film, we can give a link and toolkit for folks who want show the film in their communities, or host their own panels on the topic (for free).
