NoHoWest is pleased to be part of the solution, addressing a street long overdue for clean up. We heard stakeholder concerns that the Ethel Street entrance to Kmart was overrun with trash, abandoned vehicles and homeless. We alerted Councilmember Krekorian’s office who partnered with the LAPD to clean this area up.
Quickly on the heels of the clean up, LAPD Senior Lead Officer Carol Sawamura and Council District Representative Lorraine Diaz held the first ever Business Neighborhood Watch Meeting at the Palatium Banquet Hall at Saticoy and Bellaire on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. This meeting was well attended by 30 concerned business people who had additional issues regarding homelessness, motor home parking and crime.
