NoHo West President Carol Rose has been in contact with Councilmember Paul Krekorian's Office, who originally helped plan, pay for, build and dedicate the park. We are in the planning stages. Repairs are estimated to be around $100,000.

Check out this fun and exciting Repair Cafe in the San Fernando Valley on Saturday, September 26 from 1pm to 4pm! What’s a Repair Cafe? It’s a place where you can bring your broken, non-working items such as computers, toys, jewelry, bicycles, clothes (and so much more!) for assessment, disassembly, and possible repair. The Cafe will provide workspace, specialty tools, and guidance to help you take apart and troubleshoot your item. Even if we can’t fix it, you’ll learn more about how it was made and how it works. Where/When? Stop by Mid-Valley Regional Library at 16244 Nordhoff Street in #NorthHills to visit repair stations and activity stations. The event is free, and all are welcome! See you there!

RSVP NOW: September 19 - Adventure Buddy Day LA Animal Services and Best Friends Animal Society have teamed up again to help dogs enjoy a day away from the shelter! Angelenos are invited to join us on Saturday, September 19, to participate in Adventure Buddy Day --- a day for eligible dogs to get out of the shelter and spend time with a human companion. To participate please fill out this RSVP. Adventure Buddy Day is the perfect opportunity for those who love dogs but aren't ready to bring one home just yet, providing the opportunity to spend some time with an adoptable canine friend and making their day a little brighter! Those interested in participating can register in advance by printing and filling out LAAS’s foster form. Big Dogs & Meow Meows Adoption Event In an effort to help the animals in LA City shelters find loving homes, The Paula Kent Meehan Pet Care Foundation is sponsoring the Big Dogs and Meow-Meows Adoption event from September 1-30, 2026 at all six LA Animal Services Centers. During the monthlong adoption event, adoption fees for dogs 40 lbs and over are $51 (does not include $20 dog license fee for LA City residents), and adoption fees for cats a year old and older are $12.50. Dogs and cats adopted from LA Animal Services join their new families spayed or neutered, vaccinated, licensed, and microchipped, and adopters receive a VCA Healthy Start Certificate, which provides up to $250 of follow up veterinary care within the first 14 days of adoption. In addition, canine companions adopted from LA Animal Services are also eligible for free dog training classes at the Paws for Life K9 Rescue People & Pet Innovation Center in Mission Hills, CA.
