Slope Planting Brings Color to Community
We are pleased to report that the Whitsett slope near the North Hollywood Mural was recently planted. The new drought tolerant native plants include more flowering bushes to add more color to the slope. We are working with Woods Maintenance to make the slope even more beautiful than before.
Homeless Navigation Center Opens for Community
The first Navigation Center in LA has opened in the Valley on Sherman Way near Lankershim. It includes storage, showers, restrooms and support staff to help those experiencing homeless to find a way out.
Bridge Shelter Under Construction
Shelter serving 88 people to open in June at existing warehouse on 13160 Raymer St.
Candidates Face Issues and Voters at CD 2 Forum
NoHo West Neighborhood Council was proud to present the Council District 2 Candidate Forum on Wednesday, January 29, at Saticoy Elementary. All three candidates were present, incumbent Paul Krekorian, Ayinde Jones and Rudy Melendez answering questions on homelessness, noise pollution from helicopters and planes, and more.
