Businesses Not Notified of Parking Restrictions

NoHo West recently received a letter from a business stakeholder expressing concern about new parking restrictions on the street of their business without any notification. Unfortunately the restrictions now affect his customers and put his business at risk. NoHo West is investigating this matter and planning to host a Town Hall to explore why the businesses were not notified.

LADOT is conducting the RIDER Study: Real Inputs Driving Everyday Routes to improve transit services across Los Angeles, including DASH, Commuter Express, LAnow microtransit, and Cityride Dial-a-Ride. They want to hear from DASH riders about what’s working and how service could be better. Your feedback will help improve safety, reliability, and rider satisfaction, and support planning for future major events like the 2026 World Cup and 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. EmpowerLA is excited to announce that registration for the 2026 EmpowerLA Youth Conference is now open! On Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., EmpowerLA will host 100 young people between the ages of 14 and 17 from across Los Angeles at Los Angeles City Hall to participate in a one-day event focused on civic engagement, leadership development, and local government. Conference attendees will dive into the role the Neighborhood Council system plays in grassroots local democracy, attend learning sessions on ways to be civically engaged in the community, network with like-minded young leaders, engage with City leaders, and so much more! This year’s conference attendees will be selected through a random lottery – registration does not guarantee admission. Registration closes on Friday, April 24, 2026.

The Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) is conducting a citywide study to gather feedback on your experiences to create recommendations for making our services better meet riders’ needs. The RIDER Study will gather feedback on a range of LADOT-operated services, including DASH, Commuter Express, LAnow microtransit, and Cityride Dial-a-Ride. Input from riders and non-riders alike will help us better understand what is working well today and where improvements are most needed. LADOT’s goal is to provide clear recommendations for improving reliability, efficiency, and equity across the system. These recommendations are designed to optimize routes to boost ridership, enhance on-time performance, align services with regional transit, and ensure LADOT is prepared for major upcoming events such as the 2026 FIFA World Cup, 2027 Super Bowl, and the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
