Royal Fresh Market is a Grocery Store/Market with ethnic groceries and food from all different nationalities. Largely an Armenian based market with ethnic Armenian spices and dishes available. The Market also has fresh bread delivered daily.
There are different dry meats and dishes available. Please visit their butcher shop in the back that has various types of dry beef meats that are very tasty. They also have various cheeses that are famous in the Armenian culture.
NoHo West Board Member John Dinkjian recommends the soujoukh sausage which he likes to enjoy in his scrambled eggs. Traditional sjoujoukh sausage is a dried cured beef sausage and requires no cooking. He suggests buying the sausage whole or a section, not pre-cut. To prepare this delicious breakfast, cut it in slices, simmer in a frying pan for 3-4 minutes on medium or low heat with no oil to slowly warm up the sausage. Add butter to keep the eggs from sticking, then pour in whisked eggs and scramble as usual. This meal brings up great breakfast memories from his childhood and he loves the amazing flavor of the sausage.
