On Monday, March 13 there was a community meeting regarding the new North Metrolink station. Over 45 community stakeholders attended the meeting in-person and over 25 via the live webcast. In-person participants included representatives from the offices of State Senator Anthony Portantino, Assemblymember Tom Lackey, Los Angeles City Councilmember Paul Krekorian, City of Burbank Mayor Jess Talamantes, Vice Mayor Will Rogers, and Councilmember Bob Frutos. Numerous other agencies, community organizations, business owners, and residents also attended the meeting.
The community meeting provided an opportunity to get informed about the Construction of the Burbank Airport – North Metrolink Station, including an overview of the station location and amenities, construction period, and construction operations. Meeting participants asked questions related to construction, connectivity to the new station, Metro’s Brighton to Roxford Double Track Project, as well as Metrolink and Hollywood Burbank Airport operations.

CONSTRUCTION DETAILS (anticipated)
Construction is expected to begin on Tuesday, March 21 for the much anticipated new Metrolink Station on the Antelope Valley Line between the Sun Valley and Downtown Burbank Metrolink Stations. Below is an overview of the anticipated construction schedule, hours, and access in the project area.

ABOUT THE NEW STATION
The new Burbank Airport – North Metrolink Station will be located at the northwest corner of Hollywood Way and San Fernando Rd/Bl within the cities of Los Angeles and Burbank. The station will be approximately one mile from the Hollywood Burbank Airport terminal. Once the proposed station is operational, the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena- Airport Authority will operate a free shuttle bus linking the terminal to the station. This new station will be within walking distance to the future airport terminal and proposed mixed-use development. The new station will feature a side platform with passenger amenities, including passenger information phone, ticket vending machines, seating, bike racks, and LED display boards showing train, flight, and bus arrival and departure times. Improvements adjacent to the platform will include a “kiss-and-ride” drop-off area and a bus drop-off area.
