Hope of the Valley, which provides 582 shelter beds in the San Fernando Valley points out that while 8% of the LA County population is black, 34% of people experiencing homelessness are black.
One way to show that black lives really do matter is to support their services for the homeless which they provide to people regardless of their color.

- We house single black mothers and their children in our Family Shelters
- We help black men break free from drugs and alcohol in our Recovery Program
- We feed hungry black men, women and children
- We house unsheltered black men, women and children in our shelters
- We house black youth that have timed out of the Foster Care System at our Transitional Age Youth Shelter called The Landing
- We assist black men and women with job skills and employment
