Tiny Homes Update

Three Tiny Homes Villages opened in 2021 with 219 homes and 425 beds. Currently an average of 54% are in use and 321 people are enrolled and receiving services.

Saticoy Tiny Homes to Open in September

As with all Tiny Homes in CD2, each unit at Saticoy has air conditioning, heat, windows, storage space, and doors that lock from the inside. For many people, a safe, secure and comfortable space with a locking door is life-changing.

Rental Assistance Opens March 30

The City of Los Angeles, in partnership with the federal government and the State of California, has created a new emergency rental assistance program to assist low-income renters who have been unable to pay their rent due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Apply by April 30.

Comment at City Council Meeting on Homeless Clean Up Protocols

City Council will discuss rescinding enhanced clean up service near Bridge Shelters if certain municipal codes are invalidated. Advocates for the homeless are strongly pushing for the clean ups to end. You are invited to speak up and share your position at the Council Meeting on November 24, 10am.

Utility Grants Available

If you have lost income due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you may be eligible to receive a one-time, $500 check to help pay utility bills. Funding is limited. Online Applications accepted from November 2 through November 22, 2020.
