It was NoHoWest Neighborhood Council’s pleasure to work with CD 2, Paul Krekorian and Lorraine Diaz on the Homeless Connect Day at Hope of the Valley Rescue Center in Van Nuys on Wednesday, October 12th, 2016, from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

NoHoWest was able to provide Breakfast, Fruit and Lunch for over 200 homeless people. The Lunch we provided was a Hot Lunch, Catered, Cooked and Delivered, on time, by Hope of the Valley’s Training Program for the Homeless, to develop Skills to find Jobs. NoHoWest Secretary Carol Rose, “I must say, the Food was excellent and everybody was great to work with!” Thank you to Leslie Ann Myrick for shopping, packing, unpacking and helping set up. Thank you to Arron Meeks, for unpacking, setting up, passing out the food and plates, and packing up. This was by far the most productive Homeless Connect Day that we have participated in!
